Gravity Forms Popup Widget updated to version 0.5 – Supports open on button click.
On the WordPress.org forum I was asked, can my plugin be opened only on pressing a button.
Since it was requested by 2 people I desided to add this functionality so here is an update to version 0.5 of the Gravity Forms Popup Widget Plugin.
Have fun 🙂

Hello Alex,
I love your plug-in. I am using the button interface, and it’s made my life so much easier. However, I have run into an issue with a multi-page AJAX form, and I don’t know if it’s an Issue with this plugin, or if it’s on the Gravity Forms side. For some reason, when you go to the next page, the modal box jumps up 200 pixels or so, so that a user has to scroll back up to continue filling out the form.
Have you seen this before, and do you have any thoughts as to how I might correct this?
Thanks again,
Garron

I have actually never tried Multi Page forms in Gravity so I dont know.
Do you have it running somewhere so I can test it?

Alex, thank you so much for this plugin. On my wishlist for a future update would be the ability to control how often the popup is displayed (conditional.) For example, every nth visitor. This javascript (below) does that, but would love to have something like this integrated in the plugin settings:
This provides a randomized sample of visitors. Another option is to set the “affirmative” version, where if visitor closes popup without further interaction it is served to the next person, until the nth level is achieved. I’d be willing to pay for this as a custom version if you have no plans for a general release like this. Please contact me!

What am I missing? I have installed the plugin, and I cannot see where the admin to it is.. It is not added to the gravity forms section. It is not in widgets, and it is not anywhere on the sidebar of the wordpress dashboard menus. Where do I access the admin of this plugin? It is installed and activated.

After you installed it, you will see it in the Widgets area. In each Widget instance you will have the options. This is not a specific options page in the menu, but in each of the Widgets.

I have attempted to install your plugin with a multi-site installation and I cannot for the life of me figure out where your widget is. I am running GF Version 1.6.3.3.4, WordPress Version 3.3.1and Version 0.6 of your widget. Should there be a widget to drag into a sidebar? Is it separate from the GF Forms Widget or part of it? Any insight would be amazing.
Thanks!

It’s a separate widget from the standart GF widget, you should see it in the widget list.

Hi Alex thank you for your work, I wondered on the button option is it possible to provide code / instruction how your widget would open up the gravity form in popup form with an existing button rather than adding the button you have provided. The reason is that the buttons i have are styled for my site. thank you

Hi Alex,
Great Plugin! I have one little problem though. Is it possible to customize the button’s look. Like the color, size maybe. Would appreciate any help!
Thanks!

You can style it using CSS as you want it…

Thanks for the quick response. I am not a coder though, and really new at this. Hope I don’t come across as really dumb, but I can give it a shot myself, if you can tell me where I need to make these edits.
Thanks once again!

Hi,
My name is Borisa Djuraskovic. I am associated with Web Hosting Hub community team.
I found your Gravity Forms Popup Widget plugin at https://alex.frenkel-online.com/2012/02/11/gravity-forms-popup-widget-updated-to-version-0-4-supports-open-on-button-click/ very interesting. I would like to translate it to my native Serbo-Croatian language and help people from my community find your plugin useful too. But you would need to create the translatable .pot file first in order for me to proceed. Please let me know if you are willing to do that so I can translate it.

Hi,
A week ago, I asked for your permission to translate your plugin. Since I didn’t get any answer from you, it would be very kind of you to consider my proposal and let me know if its alright to translate it.
